Medical, medical, medical!

As it comes up on one year since we submitted our application to the Peace Corps (January of 2008) we find ourselves still sending in medical forms.  It is so funny how in depth this medical clearance is for two, healthy 25-year-olds.  I have started to read other volunteers' blogs and several of them stated how frustrating and long the medical clearance was.  We should be able to fax the last bits of our updated information by the 14th of this month.
On a better note, we are both cleared for dental and legal so that is exciting.  For those who don't know our tentative placement and leave date are August of '09 to either Central or South America.  From the sounds of it (and other volunteers) we will find out late in the game where we will actually be going.  Most likely we will not get our 'invitation' until May.  I look forward to starting Spanish lessons this month.  Greg is so talented in language acquisition I hope to catch up to him before we leave.
I just wanted to get this blog going so that friends and family could get used to keeping up with us here since this will most likely be our main way of sharing our lives while serving.  I will post again once we get our medical clearance but until then... Adios!
