Okay I think I might have gotten the hang of the photos finally! Here is a close up of some of the forms and instructions we had to get completed for our medical clearance.
I have never been to so many doctors, I went to three different doctors in one day just trying to get all the stuff we need. If you've had surgery it makes it just all the more 'fun' because you have to get all of the reports and final pathology etc. I was reading on another blog how they thought it was a test to see if you can get doctors to read/follow directions, I agree. Below is a picture of all the forms that were sent to us. This is just my set however so multiply this times two and then add the 20 pages of additional forms and copies and you get an idea of what we sent back to Peace Corps!
We are currently getting our last shots and exams that we missed the first time we sent in forms. Like polio booster for adults. The Polio booster was one of the most difficult shots to get because the regular doctors and health clinics don't carry it you have to go to the travel and international medicine sector. Our health department's International Medicine part was booked out until early March so we had to go to the expensive Travel and International Medicine place that doesn't accept insurance and we have to pay for a doctors visit and the injection plus the booster. Other than that the medical aspect hasn't cost as much as I thought. I just can't wait to get that satisfying green check under application status for medical clearance on our online application. I will post again after we get cleared medically (fingers crossed) or if we get more info!
Until we're cleared,
Kevina
